2023 - Atelier CREAHM
Broderie
The CREAHM workshop, founded in 1998, enables disabled people with artistic skills to create and develop their own work. It is run by professional artists who share their experience and promote art in its raw state. To date, CREAHM artists have taken part in nearly 200 projects and exhibitions in Fribourg, Switzerland and around the world.
The Fondation Guignard is supporting the "Broderie" project, a series of textile works including a 5-metre-long embroidery, made from drawings transferred and then "punched" on a machine in St Gallen. Led by artist Stéphanie Baechler, the 'Broderie' project involved seven CREAHM artists. Their work is featured in the "Have faith" exhibition, in which Stéphanie Baechler engages in a dialogue with the collection of the Musée d'art et d'histoire de Fribourg. The exhibition runs from 1 September 2023 to 24 March 2023.
